Bamboo Garden Fence - Choosing Your Theme
When designing your own garden or having someone else do it for you,
it is always best to have some type of theme going with it. It is
the basis of your whole gardening project.
Let us just say you wanted an eastern theme, a feng shui theme or
holistic theme, by using bamboo throughout the garden would be your
most used product. You shouldn't use the bamboo in every nook and
cranny, as this would definitely be overkill, just here and there to
keep the theme flowing. Having a bamboo garden fence could be the
first thing you could put up, if you do not have any fencing or if
you have one that just doesn't match the theme just by putting the
bamboo garden fence against it for show.
If your garden is large enough you could also use a bit of garden
fence to section off a piece of the garden to make it either a more
private little area or to camouflage something that doesn't look so
great like a tatty outside store room. You could also use some
bamboo garden fence to create a type of shade above a area on a
pergola if you really wanted to. Since they are already bound
together for your convenience it should be easy to erect. The bamboo
garden fence for shade could just be trimmed a bit or left as is for
an overhang, if it is a bit too long for the area.
Dead Or Alive Fencing
Since the theme is with bamboo, you could also have in a small
section of the garden a bamboo garden plant; this can also be used
to create some privacy if needed. It is important to remember that
some bamboo plants are evasive and tend to just go wild in a garden,
so it would have to be in a contained area to save you the hassles
of taking out excess growth continuously but in essence is creating
a live bamboo garden fence.
Considering you went to the nursery to go buy the ready made bamboo
garden fence, you will have to ensure that wherever you decide to
place it, it should be a dry area so that it does not lie in a
continuous wet area as it would rot very fast. Your bamboo garden
fence should be attached to either steel or treated garden posts,
being slightly suspended or raised off the ground, so that rotting
does not occur so fast. If you wish to preserve your fence for
longer you could use oil on it, which has been drained from a car if
you don't mind the color change.
